| The lofty snatches the pay away from the man who digs the ditch; they say it’s in the “nation’s interest” to give it to the rich. “Trickle Down”, the theory’s called, where the poor supports rich greed - then wait for falling crumbs in hope it’ll satisfy their needs. They take great pains to snatch the food right out of a junior’s mouth; took granny’s SSI from her - sayin’ Jesus what they ‘bout. They say they about to get the government off of people’s backs, yet, every time you’re ahead a dime they’re there to take it back. They say we need more prayer in school to rectify our plight; but prayer won’t replace the meat they took that quenched young appetites. Now, I’m no scholar or economist or man of great renown, but genius ain’t required to sniff the funk that’s goin’ down. No wonder all these "distinguished" old men don’t care about no schools, if we all could read and write and think they’d fall too short on fools. They stir-up racial hatred, to keep us blind as bats; they keep us too mad at one another to take our country back. Eric L. Wattree |
